TENERIFE ADVENTURES

An island so full of adventure that you will have to come back!

The beautiful island of Tenerife is so varied in climate and terrain that geologists say it could actually be classed as a mini continent! On the island of Tenerife you will find lush green rainforests, windswept volcanic mountains, fiery red deserts and black sand beaches. So we couldn't let you come to stay in a place of such stunning beauty and not take you out to explore!

That's why our Tenerife retreats have a range of FREE excursions available including a beautiful hike, a day exploring the breath-taking Masca Valley and a day at a secret hidden beach. For those people looking for an extra day of adventure we have compiled a list of some of our favourite activities on the island which you could take part in throughout the week, including paragliding, horse-riding, dolphin and whale watching and surf lessons!

ADVENTURE 1.
THE MASCA VALLEY

I have travelled to many places in the world and this still has to be one of the most amazing views that I have ever seen in my life! On this afternoon hike we take you down the ravine of the Masca Valley where you will see beautiful views down into the village and out to the glimmering azure sea, we hike down through the tropical undergrowth and stop in the small quaint Canarian village at the heart of Masca to rest our weary feet and enjoy a picnic lunch.

ADVENTURE 2.
A SECRET HIPPY BEACH

There is an infamous beach on Tenerife known by the locals as 'La Playa de Los Hippies', this stunning beach only accessible by a 30 minute walk over the cliffs has been home to a community of camping wayward travellers since the 1960s and is a place where people feel free to express themselves with many people selling handmade jewellery or special cookies, choosing to be nude, playing music and dancing.

ADVENTURE 3.
HIKE AROUND A VOLCANO

On this Tenerife adventure we drive you high up above the clouds in to the Teide national park, here at 2200m above sea level we take a hike around Roques del Garcia, an incredible group of rock formations that frame the view of the snow capped Volcano mount Teide.

ADVENTURE 4.
CHAMPAGNE SUNSET & LIVE MUSIC

We round off the week with an all white champagne sunset in the Mount Teide national park, here high above the clouds surrounded by verdant green pine forests you can watch the sun sink into a tranquil sea of fluffy white clouds while listening to some live acoustic music with a glass of sparkling champagne.
